Metallica to do their own Bootlegs

Who hasn’t been to a concert and wanted a copy of the gig to relive those memories. You rarely get lucky and attend one the band put out as a live show, so you’re often reliant on picking up some local bootlegs or making your own dodgy copy on a portable recording device. Now Metallica are going to save you the trouble, as you’ll be able to download live recordings, including single songs if you wish, from every date on their forthcoming North American tour. Of course, as this is Metallica and the internet you’ll have to pay again, with single tracks priced at 99 cents. They do have a point though when Lars Ulrich said 'This technology will enable our fans to get the best possible recording of the show, without having to hold a microphone in the air for the entire night!'
