Never give up: stupidly young Stranger Things edition
The idea of never giving up and fighting for your dreams is a great one, but it’s very worrying when you’re having to tell a young teenager. So, when Millie Bobby Brown (aka Eleven from Stranger Things) tells how she nearly gave up acting before her breakthrough you have to ask: that’s awfully young to be broken down by an industry.
The full story is Millie told Variety how she found a love of acting and got some early roles: “It was like a bug… I know this sounds crazy, but once I find something I want to do, nobody’s stopping me. If I don’t know how to sew, and I really had that passion to sew, that’s it, I’m going to sew. That’s also with acting. So here I am.”
However, being turned downed for Logan seems to have broken her: “I felt at one point I couldn’t do it, but then I got [Stranger Things] and everything changed,” she said, adding that acting is now “like breathing to me.”
Never, ever give up on your dream if you’re below about twenty five.
