New Katy Perry but is this really a comeback?
When we went in to listen (and watch) the new Katy Perry single, we were surprised by comments implying this was some sort of comeback as she hadn’t realised solo music since… 2017. Now, while her hair has definitely returned, surely 2017 isn’t comeback territory, it’s just normal record cycles these days? Not many musicians notch up a faster schedule, and Perry’s maintained a high profile.
Either way, fans will want the tunage: Never Really Over. Here’s the explanation: “All of our relationships – from first love, through failed love, to great love – all become a part of you, so that none are ever really over, and once you accept both the dark and the light, you may find that the darkness brought you to the light.”
Fair play for the Facebook stalking bit.
