Those of you with long(ish) memories will remember us championing this lot on our summer EP series. Now they're back with a new video-- and I’ll be honest, the clip for Drop out Venus’ new single ‘Elastic Teen Rent’ nearly got a sarky comment about how they got the lady singer / guitarist to dress in silly shorts and knee high socks and sprawl around, but given that a) the video is designed to mock the videos that do this seriously, b) they have her staring at the camera with utter contempt for anyone who’s getting off on this, and c) they burnt the wig afterward, we’ll let them off. Instead we’ll look at the music, which had sounds like a guitar is being strangled (in a perfectly murderous manner) and a growing, snarling sound that makes us excited. The single was released today.
