New Music: Girl Band

Short but hard.

First: Girl Band aren’t a girl band, nor are there any women in the band, it’s just a confusing name. What they are is a four piece who specialise in blistering rock which isn’t always long (France 98, the title track from their new EP, is just seventy seconds) but a jolt to the heart is guaranteed. It’s music for people who like detuned guitars to have attained sentience and started to attack humanity. If you’re into physical records you’ll need to get ready as the EP is out on just 300 12” on Feb 4th. We’ve got both the title track and, because it’s not too long, a second tune below.
