New Music: Kingfishers Catch Fire

As well as a name which will stimulate stoned conversation (can’t they just go in the water?), Kingfishers Catch Fire are an unsigned London band. There’s four of them, and they certainly know how to work a song to produce chapters. The result on tunes like A Fear of Mirrors is a pastoral opposite to the urban indie of so many bands, as if flowers and foxes have colonised a brown field site. A double a-side with ‘Mirrors and ‘Dahlia’ is out April 11th.
