If you haven’t cut through to the music and have to wade through the press, Kites are a hard band to like. Getting called "pioneers of electro fop-pop" and playing gigs with Aiden Grimshaw do little to endear. But if you do get to the tunes what you find is a band that’s pleased to be able to use multi syllable words, have a smart line in synths and know how to combine their wit with their tunes to maximum effect. New single ‘This Jumped Up Boy in Livery’ is a prime example, and is streaming below.
