New Music: Lion Bark

New Music: Lion Bark

Lion Bark are a group of young men who met at music college… and promptly all dropped out to pursue the band they’d formed. We don’t recommend this as a career arc because the reality is so many bands don’t get the success they deserve, but we hope Lion Bark do because they’re an interesting act. The core is the vocal of Guy Bangham, which sit at the centre of a giant indie Venn diagram, seeming unconcerned, wrought and arch at the same time. Support comes ably from the musicians, adding dreamy textures. ‘Longhorns’ is streaming below, and an EP is coming next year.
