The Doppler Shift have a song called ‘The Man Who Was Forever Haunted By His Head’, and that’s exactly the sort of name I was looking for this afternoon. The track’s off their ‘The Lost Art of Living’ album, which you can buy via Bandcamp this very second. Moving away from names and onto the music, they play a marvellously dense alt. rock that’s not afraid to change in tone (in all senses) and take you through the levels on songs which are relatively long. ‘The Man…’ is like Martin Grech, and you can’t really give a band much more praise than explaining you find their songs inspiring.
