New Music: The Volkova Sisters

Hungarian darkness.

No, this isn't one of Tatu and her sibling, nor is it actually a set of sisters. The name derives from characters in a William Gibson novel, and if you imagine that aesthetic you've got a nice idea of the dark, icy sound of the Volkova Sisters. The group are actually Daniel Sandor, who's also a wizz with visuals, Dalma Berger, a singer and model, and Gergely Kovacs, who doesn't get much space in the PR. Shame. The Venus Robot EP is out October 4th, and it's like a goth Tron. (Err, yes we know comedy track Last Song of the Dying Fly is rubbish, but some of the others are good.)
