Things bound to worry you when you see them in an email about a band: “idiosyncratic” vocals, “experimental” sounds. What, you think as you click play, am I about to hear… Well, when we heard Wild Swim’s Echo, the lead track from their debut EP, the words we thought of were “lovely slow builder.” It starts quietly, with just some atmospheric plinks, but stick with the nearly five minute journey and things grow, swell and, if not explode, then at least have a punch at the end. The EP is out November 26th on Believe Recordings.
