New Zealand airport shoots scared security dog dead when they can’t catch it

New Zealand airport shoots scared security dog dead when they can’t catch it
Grizz was a bomb detection dog working at New Zealand’s Auckland airport when it became scared by something, panicked, and ran off. For the next three hours staff failed to capture Grizz, who roamed the airport, at which point some pillock decided to tell the police to shoot it.

Which they did.

Dead.

Now, the airport are saying Grizz had stopped sixteen flights from functioning, and they had done “everything they could,” a statement which apparently does not include tranquilising the animal, or whatever curious bastard decided only three hours had passed so shoot the animal.

Social media has predictably divided into two camps, those asking why people are so upset about a dog when millions of cows are shot every year, and those with a heart asking what the actual fuck.
