Nintendo are going full Nostalgia: a new mini SNES
This story on the new Classic Edition SNES would have been sooner, but we were too busy trying to order it. So, full confession, I am of the age when the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, the SNES, was the greatest thing that had ever happened to young people since rock n roll. It felt like a ground breaking, future shaking gaming system. And now we get to play it again.

Yes, Nintendo are going back to the past for their staff bonuses and releasing the Classic Edition SNES, which looks the same as the older model but smaller and is actually pre loaded with 21 classics, and stop panicking, F Zero, Super Mario Kart, Legend of Zelda and Super Mario World are on it.

Nintendo America explained: “While many people from around the world consider the Super NES to be one of the greatest video game systems ever made, many of our younger fans never had a chance to play it… With the Super NES Classic Edition, new fans will be introduced to some of the best Nintendo games of all time, while longtime fans can relive some of their favorite retro classics with family and friends.”
