Norah Jones records album with Danger Mouse

Jazz singer Norah Jones has announced that her fifth album – Little Broken Hearts, set for release sometime in the spring of this year, will be a collaboration with producer extraordinaire Danger Mouse. The two first worked together when Jones contributed tracks to DM’s solo album ROME, and apparently had a working relationship strong enough to merit recording an entire album together. Danger Mouse has scored a number of hits over the years, including the inescapable Gnarls Barkley song Crazy, and has been instrumental in pushing artists such as The Black Keys to the next level.

In the past Jones has sold bucket loads of records, whilst having accusations of adhering dolefully to the middle of the road thrown at her, and she has rarely stretched what is doubtlessly a talented voice. Whether Danger Mouse gives her the edge she has often lacked remains to be seen.
