OK Go are known for two things: a succession of entertaining and popular internet music videos, and a succession of mediocre songs. The first part has seen the band get both famous and millions and millions of hits on places like YouTube.

But can you make money off these hits?

According to the band’s manager, no. He, Jamie Kitman, has been quoted at the SF MusicTech Summit saying "I can speak to an artist who gets a lot of traffic, which is OK Go…And I would say that 'trickle' is the operative word, in terms of revenue we receive from places like YouTube and VEVO." Indeed “The YouTube revenue is so small based on how many streams we've done that I would say it's not a business model, it's like finding change on the street.”

Is this where we make a joke about it being all about the music?
