Original Sugarbabes singer declared bankrupt

Former Sugarbabes singer Mutya Buena has been declared bankrupt by a High Court judge.

Buena cites an "administrative error" for her unpaid tax bills.

Paperwork has since been filed with Companies House, and it is said that one of Buena's companies - God Made Me Funky - made just £902 in March 2013. Her debts with the firm stack up to around £22,500, with her business Sacred Three Limited also around £10,000 in debt. A bankruptcy order was made on September 15th, and was published in the London Gazette this week.

2012 saw Buena and original Sugarbabes members Siobhan Donaghy and Keisha Buchanan form group MKS. They released their first single 'Flatline' last year, which blipped rather than flatline in the charts, peaking at number 50.
