Prince's sister: 'I knew his death was coming'

It has been six months since the tragic passing of Prince at the age of 57.

The death has been described down to poor health but, significantly, an 'accidental drug overdose' due to pain killers. And while it shocked the world of music, his sister has implied today that she wasn't surprised.

"I knew that it was coming," Tyka Nelson told Entertainment Tonight of his death. "He said it a couple of years ago: 'I've done everything that I've come to do. I was crushed for about two years."

Nelson continued: "I've had two years to deal with it, but there's a lot of people that have only had from April to now, so I guess I would say give it another year and a half and maybe you'll be where I'm at."

In slightly sunnier news for Prince fans, she spoke of his fabled vault of unreleased material, allegedly including around 2000 unheard songs.

"He's written a massive amount of music and in one of our conversations, he said, 'How I want to be remembered is as one of the most prolific writers in the world. So I'm going to do everything that I can to make that dream come true."
