The Prodigy, the long running hard dance act, have been announced as the headliners for the final night of the Isle of Wight’s Bestival festival. Yunno, the one which has an official fancy dress theme; this year it’s ‘the year of the fantastic’, which gives you a lot of leeway. Sadly, this is going to be the last Prodigy show ‘for a while’, so hopefully they’ll be putting together a new album rather than trying more rubbish solo careers. The man behind Bestival, the marvelously musically eccentric Rob Da Bank, praised them and put in a plug: "As far as polishing off the party on Sunday night, I can’t think of a more explosive finale... and it's going to be the last we'll see of them for quite a while on our shores – so get in the queue now!”
