Psycho-Acoustic Simulation? Pull the other one...

Last week, online retailer Bluebeat started selling the entire remastered Beatles’ back catalogue for very low prices. This would have been a major coup had it been legal, but the Beatles’ hadn’t been asked and their record label took Bluebeat to court, winning an injunction. But in the case a rather bizarre claim emerged: BlueBeat said they weren’t selling the actual Beatles’ tracks, but rerecorded versions which sounded identical because of his new “psycho-acoustic simulation” technology. Which sounds like total bollocks, and the judge evidently agreed. More details are due to be revealed at the full court date later this month, and it sounds like a laugh at the minimum.
