Last year Billy Corgan held open auditions to find a new drummer for the Smashing Pumpkins, and managed to find Mike Byrne, now part of the band. This seems to have been so successful that Corgan is going through the same process again to find his group a bassist – the last recently quit  – and someone for keyboards.
