Radio 1’s Big Weekend just got marvellously bigger
Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2019 is the free music festival you can also hear on the radio, for days afterwards in repeats. We already knew the headliners were Miley Cyrus, the 1975 and Mumford and Sons, as trio which are best described as divisive. But sweet lord, what a second tier of announcements we’ve just had.

Imagine going for free to see Bring Me the Horizon, Stormzy, Billie Eilish, Camelphat, Sigrid, The Amazons, Sam Fender, Two Door Cinema Club and if you’re so drunk you can’t hear the music, Pale Waves.

So how can you go… it’s in Middlesbrough this year, at Stewart Park on May 25 and 26. Tickets go on sale at 5PM on Thursday March 14 and probably sell at a minute later with chances to win if you still listen to radio DJs.
