Reading and Leeds have half 2022’s headliners already set up

Reading and Leeds have half 2022’s headliners already set up
How soon does work resume on Reading and Leeds after the festival takes place? It doesn’t resume, it never stops. This is why R and L boss Melvin Benn has been able to tell NME that three of 2022’s six headliners are already booked.

Of course, he’s not said who yet, that’ll have a big build up, but he has dropped some hints: one of the three has headlined before… and “some of them have guitars…” Which means… well it’s pin in map time really isn’t it.

Would it be a re-booking of the US acts who couldn’t make it this year, like QOTSA or Machine Gun Kelly? No that simple:” As you’ve seen from 2020 into this year, we don’t just rebook acts for the sake of it. What we want to do is book a relevant festival every year, and not just rebook the acts who have cancelled.”
