Record Store Day: Officially Successful

Sales soar.

The figures are in, and Record Store Day 2013 has been classed as ‘officially successful’. Album sales in indie shops were up 60%, and single sales 20%, with Music Week reporting the average customer at indie stores that day spent £45, and the Charts revealing that eight of the week’s top ten vinyl sales were also RDS specials. Basically, Christmas in spring.
