Reznor records for Call of Duty

Theme song.

Trent Reznor has released details of new projects, and these include an entire How to Destroy Angels album that’s forthcoming (after “a different type of distribution” took longer), some work on new Nine Inch Nails, and the theme to a computer game called Call of Duty: Black Ops II. You might have heard of it.

Reznor told USA Today the tune sounded “aggressive” - as you might expect - but he’s also pitched it away from glorifying the combat: "There is a lot of reservations and angst and sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface. So it didn't make sense to have a gung ho patriotic kind of theme song. It has to feel weighty." The game is out in November.
