Sam Smith allegedly suing to prevent ‘embarrassing’ early albums coming out
Most creative people go through a period of development as they hone their style, and this can be affected greatly by the editors and publishers that have to work with. It’s no surprise then that Sam Smith is alleged to be suing to stop early material coming out.
Smith was once signed to Flipbook Music, for whom he recorded two albums with little of his own artistic control. Those were never released and Smith found fame elsewhere, but of course Flipbook know they have something valuable now and Smith is alleged to be suing to stop any release of this because he finds the songs deeply embarrassing.
The Sun reports this, as well as Smith calling the work “cheesy,” which means it must be brie.
