Savages are probably the most hyped thing since the Mayans prophesised the end of the world this December. Of the two however, Savages look increasingly more likely to deliver on their early promise. Playing on Jools Holland last night they tore out a fine selection of chilly post punk, with the track below, Husbands being a highlight. Luckily Jools wasn't on hand to nob it up with his bloody boogie woogie piano (SupaJam will never quite get over the memory of Holland dueting with MegaMan from So Solid Crew... if anyone can post the gruesome footage to facebook you'll make our day..)

Savages have got the release of their first EP, the live recorded I Am Here scheduled for later this month, along with gigs at London's Electrowerkz on October 10th and 11th.
