Simon Cowell to Patronize Haiti

In the US, they raised money for Haiti by having a starstudded telethon. In Britain, they’ve got Simon Cowell to organise a star studded single, which will be sold and the cash sent to help a nation struggling to rebuild after an earthquake and a billion dollars of international debt which will further hamstring it, and which hasn’t been waived. But what song has Cowell chosen? Everybody Hurts by REM. Yes, Simon Cowell is managing to patronise the whole of Haiti. Everybody might hurt sometime, but passers by in HMV aren’t really on the same bloody scale as Haiti are they Simon.
