'Stop using our speakers' Disaster for Apple as their Beats speakers recalled for fire danger

'Stop using our speakers' Disaster for Apple as their Beats speakers recalled for fire danger

Apple's new Beats Pill XL speakers have all been recalled after the company admitted the battery in the product may overheat in rare causes and pose a fire safety risk.

In what is a giant PR shit sandwich for the tech colossus, they've had to ask customers who are using the speakers to stop, unless they don't mind contending with burned up house.

Look familiar? YOU ARE IN DANGER.

Customers have been asked to stop using the speakers and visit Apple's website for details on how to return the product. If you do that, you will receive an electronic payment of £215 or Apple Store credit.

"The Beats Pill XL can be identified by the Beats 'b' logo on the speaker grille and the words 'beats pill XL' on the handle," the company said. "The product is sold in five colours: black, metallic sky, pink, titanium and white."

Apple noted that the Beats Pill XL was introduced by Beats by Dre in November 2013, a year before they acquired Beats.
