Suede Reunion. Sort of.

The former head of Nude records, Saul Galpern, has confirmed one of his leading acts is reuniting: Suede. The band had a string of hits in the 90s, and eventually broke up in 2003. Now they’re coming back for a one off gig for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Well, sort of. It won’t be the original line up as guitarist – and now producer – Bernard Butler isn’t involved, so you’re getting the lineup which featured his replacement, Richard Oakes. Given how long Oakes was in the band, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and it does mean Butler is sticking to his statement that all the recent band reunions were “embarrassing”.
