Yes, it’s halfway through September and we have to mention Christmas. Sorry about that, but we can’t really wait until after Halloween to report this. So, all signs point to Sujfan Stevens releasing a new Christmas album. He’s started a Tumblr, first titled ‘CHRISTMAS IS COMING’, and then ‘ADVENT OF THE APOCALYPSE’, where he’s been putting up loosely themed images.

So far so circumstantial, but Kitty Pryde made a Facebook post earlier this month saying "just finished my christmas song for sufjan stevens....................(:" and that looks like the clincher.
