Taylor Swift dismissed from jury duty over inability to be 'impartial' in rape case

Taylor Swift has been excused from jury duty after she was declared unable to be impartial. 

The singer was going to have to sit in on a case that involved rape and kidnapping, according to reports. The Guardian suggests her inability to be impartial on the case was centred around her on-going legal battle with a radio DJ who she has accused of groped her backstage at a concert in 2013.

Swift was unable to attend the MTV Video Music Awards last night down to having to attend a meeting about the duty in Tennessee. You can see a slightly off topic video she uploaded from that experience below:
