The French Elvis has died
Jean-Philippe Smet isn’t well known outside France, but when he changed his name to Johnny Hallyday and introduced the country to rock n roll in the sixties he established a legend which lasted till this day, selling 110 million albums.
Sadly, Johnny has now died after a struggle with lung cancer. His passing brought a comment from the French President: “There is something of Johnny in all of us.”
