The Killers on British fans: 'You gave us the confidence that we could do anything'

Last night at the Hammersmith Apollo London Show in support of their new Greatest Hits album, The Killers paid tribute to British fans.

Brandon Flowers said: "There's something in the air tonight. We've been coming here for ten years, and you were the first ones to make us feel worth it. Damn! You gave us the confidence that we could do anything." He then added the line "Coming back from London Town" to their song, 'The Way It Is'.

Recently we discussed why The Killers had no choice but to come here eight ago, as US Alternative music was at an all time high.

"I know it's a Wednesday. It's our Wednesday night too, but I know you've got your dancing shoes." Flowers said later in the show: "We can't come all the way across the Atlantic Oceam and not play 'Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine'. He threw his bottle of water into the audience at the end of the song.
