The Knife at work for 2012

We are excited.

Sweden’s finest purveyors of twisted synth music, The Knife, have kept themselves busy since their last album in 2006. There’s been Fever Ray, an opera, and an appearance at an awards ceremony that involved a melting face (Karin Dreijer Andersson concedes nothing to Gaga). But good news for those hoping for them to get back to the day job, as the pair have posted on their website that they’re “recording a new album to be released in 2012.” There’s no more info, so who knows whether there’ll be more steel drum based tracks about incest or beatboxing by electric monsters, as before.
