The Rolling Stones announce new single, listen here

The Rolling Stones will use BBC Radio 2 to premiere their new single, 'Doom and Gloom' this Thursday at 8:15am BST.

OK, so now it's here- Doom & Gloom, the first new piece of Rolling Stones music in 6 years, and the first single since the unfortunately titled Biggest Mistake (highest UK placing: a shame faced #51...).

Doom & Gloom premiered this morning on Chris Evans' BBC Radio 2 Show, with the ginger haired one loving it so very much he played it twice in a row. The track, recorded in the bands recent Parisian studio sessions, is a precursor to the Stones umpteenth Greatest Hits album GRRR, set for release on this November 12th.

To be honest, our expectations for Doom & Gloom lay somewhere between zero and please-God-make-it-stop, but, honestly, it ain't too bad at all- they're going with the sleazy road house blues that they pretty much invented, and Mick's sounded more energetic than he has done for years, Keef's riffs are harder than his leathery faceskin, and Charlie Watts proves once again that he's one of the greatest unsung drummers in rock n roll... #TotalShock #ActuallyLovingIt

Still, what do you think...? let us know folks..!
