The boss of Reading and Leeds appears to be defending a different festival
It’s fair to say that the 2018 Reading and Leeds festival lineup has come in for some stick, featuring – as it does – the uninspiring headliners Fall Out Boy and Kings of Leon.

Now R and L boss Melvin Benn has been defending the festival to the BBC, and he claimed: “The key thing about any festival is that you don’t stand still… I’m very clear on that…You can’t keep drumming up the same acts and expect people to continue to come and see them... Festivals have to be a reflection of what the public are listening to.”

Which is good but… Fall Out Boy and Kings of Leon are surely the same acts from the past. At least Kendrick Lamar is on one day to bring it into 2018.
