Award shows are boring. The format is so predictable and straightforward, it makes them dull as it's just so, so hard to have any deviation from the norm. So how often does something go wrong? Once in a blue moon. And it just so happens that last night, that blue moon hung over the Oscar's ceremony.

Yes, when Best Picture was being announced at the culmination of the ceremony, it all went down.

Presenters Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty announced La La Land as the winner of the night's biggest award, with the whole team flooding the stage. However, the whole thing then came to a screeching halt, when - halfway through Producer Jordan Horowitz's speech - it was revealed they'd read out the wrong name. Then, Horowitz stopped accepting the award, and accepted the mistake: "There's a mistake. Moonlight, you guys won best picture.This is not a joke. Moonlight has won best picture."
