The worst demo mixtape you’ll ever hear and that's the point

The worst demo mixtape you’ll ever hear and that's the point

The story is this: back in the 1980s comedian Robert Popper was given a cassette. It had been created by an unnamed record company for internal use only, and was a compilation of the worst demos they’d ever been sent. It was thus amazingly entertaining / horrifying.

There’s a bit more to the story, about how the tape was lost and refound by the genius that is Peter Serafinowicz, and there’s always the outside chance this isn’t real, but the story ends with the tape being put online for the first time.

So, here we go, twenty five minutes of aural horror worth a giggle.
