Thom Yorke Teams Up With Flea

Thom Yorke is going to play his solo material live, and to do that he’s going to need a band to play it. But when you’re famous, you don’t just hire a load of session musicians to aid you when you can rope in some celebrity friends. So, the as yet untitled Thom Yorke solo band is going to include Bassist Flea from Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Radiohead producer/honorary band member Nigel Godrich. Yorke announced this on a Radiohead blog: "In the past couple of weeks I’ve been getting a band together for fun to play 'The Eraser' stuff live and the new songs etc, to see if it could work!... We don’t really have a name and the set will not be very long cuz... well… we haven’t got that much material yet! But come and check it out if you are in the area." That area is currently LA, with two shows scheduled. Hopefully he’ll be adding more dates to that.
