Trent Reznor once apologised for Chris Cornell over album review

Trent Reznor once apologised for Chris Cornell over album review
Does anyone remember Scream, the 2009 collaboration between Chris Cornell and Timbaland? Yes, Chris Cornell and Timbaland. It got some, let’s just say mixed reviews, and one very public slating was from Nine Inch Nails man Trent Reznor. Thing is, Trent soon came to regret his words.
Trent tweeted the following when the album came out: “You know that feeling you get when somebody embarrasses themselves so badly YOU feel uncomfortable? Heard Chris Cornell’s record? Jesus.” Or as he told Rolling Stone “Seeing Chris do that record felt like a blow to me. I thought, ‘He’s above that, man. He’s one of the 10 best vocalists of our time.'”
But then Reznor considered, decided he’d fucked up and actually wrote Cornell a letter apologising, which the Soundgarden singer accepted. “He was very cool and generous about it – ‘It’s the past, fuck it. Let’s go on.’ The Chris I met on that tour was a gentleman that completely had his shit together.
Intriguingly we saw these quotes on NME, who in the same article pointed out they gave Scream 4/10. They haven’t apologised.
