Ultimate team up: Morello, Springsteen and Vedder on AC DC
Tom Morello has announced a new album: The Atlas Underground Fire. Fans will know his last solo album was called The Atlas Underground so… I guess it’s angrier than ever? It’s out October 15th on Mom + Pop.
There’s a whole bunch of collaborations, with Bring Me The Horizon, Damian Marley and, err, Mike Posner? But to kick things off there’s a mother of all collabs: Morello is on a cover of AC/DC’s Highway to Hell, with legends Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Vedder. Also the visual on the video below is a sort of phoenix elephant thing.
“One of the greatest rock ’n’ roll songs of all time sung by two of the greatest rock ’n’ roll singers of all time,” Morello said, “And then I drop a shredding guitar solo. Thank you and good night.”
