After a career which has included Juno, The Umbrella Academy and Oscar nominations, Elliot Page has announced that he is transgender. They were previously known as Ellen, and will now use the pronounces he / they.
His announcement comes at a time when trans people are under renewed attack from bigots, and Elliot will use their platform to defend, starting with a strong and passionate announcement:
