Vice apologise for being appalling

Vice apologise for being appalling
Anyone who’s ever read Vice know it’s appalling to read, appealing to lowest common denominator children, but it turns out it’s terrible to work for too. The New York Times has discovered how Vice paid out a strong of settlements for sexual harassment and many more experienced harassment in a culture where it was endemic. Given the articles which encourage law breaking, why are we not surprised.
The heads of Vice have now given a statement, presumably designed to keep some sponsorship from for its bullying boys club: “From the top down, we have failed as a company to create a safe and inclusive workplace where everyone, especially women, can feel respected and thrive,” and they have “extreme regret for our role in perpetuating sexism in the media industry and society in general.”
Vice have pledged to create a more welcoming and diverse environment, and hopefully stop people acting like twats.
