Watch Cat Power star in zombie apocalypse video

Plastic sliver ray guns firing glowing death triangles and rubbish zombies. Cat Power has directed her own music video.

Cat Power has never been shy of living up to her 'eccentric' tag, but the self directed video to her new single Cherokee is, simply put, bewildering. The clip- which you can watch below- is notable for featuring Cat- real name Chan Marshall-  in an apocalyptic desert scenario, battling some crap looking zombies, armed with a crapper looking plastic silver gun that fires glowing plastic death triangles. Did we mention that none of these things are hinted at in the lyrics to Cherokee? Oh, well: They're not.

Cherokee is taken from Marshall's latest album Sun, available now. To support the album she is playing a one off UK headliner show- her first ion four years- at London's Roundhouse on December 12th. Tickets details on her website - www.catpowermusic.com
