In an idle moment, you may wonder what happened to Wyclef Jean, the talented but non-racist member of the Fugees (as opposed to Lauryn Hill who was talented but… you get the idea). He’s not had much in the way of hits recently, but he’s been very busy in his native Haiti, first helping his foundation build schools and pay for scholarships, and since the earthquake rallying relief efforts. Now it looks like he may be running for president. Canada’s Le Droit dropped the scoop, pointing out that while Wyclef hadn’t announced he was running for the November 28th elections, he’d filled out all the paperwork needed to do so. He won’t have to look far for a campaign song.
