Yellow Submarine 3D Remake

It’s perhaps too easy to mention drugs and the 1968 Beatle’s themed film Yellow Submarine in the same sentence…but we’re going to do it anyway, because when you watch its striking animation you get the definite feel substances had to be involved somewhere. For anyone that doesn’t know, the Beatles – voiced by actors- take a trip (ahem) to protect Pepperland from the Blue Meanies. Now Robert Zemeckis (best known for Back to the Future) is teaming up with Disney for a 3D remake, and they’re negotiating to use the Beatles song which featured prominently in the original. The target release date is 2012, apparently to synch up with the London Olympics, although we can’t see why.
