Bestival Line-Up News

If you think Leeds and Reading are too corporate, and don’t want to play the Glastonbury headliner lottery, try Bestival on the Isle of Wight. How “crazy” is it? They have an official fancy dress theme: this September 11 – 13 they want you to arrive dressed for “outer space”.

Featured bands include electronic pioneers Kraftwerk, Klaxons (who will presumably be thanking Kraftwerk personally for inventing half their sound), MGMT, Fleet Foxes and arthouse film favourite, the composer Michael Nyman. Seasick Steve will also be in attendance. The site, at Robin Hill Country Park, will be re-organised from last year’s mud-fest and is curated by Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank.
