Manson Contacts Spector

When Phil Spector was sentenced to ‘nineteen years to life’ in prison earlier this year for the murder of an actress, most assumed his celebrated musical career was over. But not everyone saw it that way, and a famous inmate has made efforts to contact Spector for a collaboration…and that inmate? Charles Manson. Yes, the guy Marilyn Manson took his name from. Phil’s wife told Page Six “A guard brought Philip a note from Manson, who said he wanted him to come over…He said he considers Philip the greatest producer who ever lived…” Apparently Phil didn’t respond to this. What do you say in that situation? Possibly, “sure, please don’t shiv me?”
