Slash: Solo Album Going Well

You could argue that Slash was the most talented one in Guns N’ Roses; no, he didn’t have the voice, but he did have that some awesome guitar and manages to release albums without waiting for hell to freeze over (we know Chinese Democracy is now out, but things had to get chilly). So it’s good, but perhaps unsurprising, news to hear his album has been going well. At least, according to him. As he said on his Myspace: “We've nailed four killer tracks with four amazing vocals so far…everybody who has contributed vocals so far have been flawless and the rhythm section, Josh and Chris, are priceless...” That’s Chris Caney, bassist in Jane’s Addiction, and rent-a-drummer Josh Freese, in A Perfect Circle, Devo, solo work and now this. No word on who did guest vocals, but Slash does finish by promising a “kick ass record, if I do say so myself...” Will it be good or will it be self-indulgent? We’ll have to wait and see.
