Strokes’ Singer’s Solo Album

Julian Casablancas is to become the fourth member of The Strokes to release an album outside the band. He’s working on a solo record called ‘Phrazes for the Young’, for possible release in the autumn, although at eight tracks long it might be considered more an extended EP than an album. A movie trailer style promo video is on Youtube now, and can also be seen on http://www.juliancasablancas.com/ No singing, mainly shamanistic drumming and some synths over some stylish ‘development of America’ visuals with images of Julian intercut.
